About Us

I was born and raised in Kingston, New York, and graduated from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. After earning my degree in photography, I worked in this field until I made the decision to enter the corporate world as an administrative assistant. I continued this work after I made the move to Chicago in 1988.

In 1995, I became a pet owner for the first time. The joy and fulfillment I received from my Beagle stirred a desire within me to work full-time with animals. I decided to leave my job as an executive assistant to work full-time caring for dogs at Save-A-Pet Adoption Center in Grayslake. From there, I decided to combine my administrative experience, my work at Save-A-Pet, and my love of animals to start my own pet-sitting business in October 2000. I am blessed to have the opportunity to care for many wonderful pets. With Homebound Hound, everyone wins; pet owners have peace of mind, their pets are happy, content, and well cared for, and I am doing what I love most.
